Iron Powder

There are mainly two types of iron powder: reduced iron powder and atomized iron powder.

Reduced Iron Powder: Reduced iron powder is produced by reducing iron ore, oxide, or mill scale at high temperature using gases such as hydrogen or carbon monoxide. It features irregular particle shape, rough surface, and high purity with low oxygen content. With excellent compressibility and sintering ability, it is widely used in powder metallurgy parts, welding electrodes, and as a catalyst or reducing agent in the chemical industry.

Atomized Iron Powder: Atomized iron powder is manufactured by atomizing molten iron with high-pressure water or gas, resulting in nearly spherical particles with smooth surfaces. It offers excellent flowability, high density, and stable quality. Due to its uniform filling and suitability for automated processes, it is mainly applied in advanced powder metallurgy, magnetic materials, thermal spraying, 3D printing, and alloy or welding powders.
